Coriander Seed (Double Parrot Small) is a refined, dual-cleaned small-size variant of Coriandrum sativum seeds, designed to serve the needs of spice processors, grinding mills, and regional masala manufacturers. This grade undergoes two rounds of mechanical parrot (sieve) cleaning, resulting in greater purity and reduced foreign matter compared to single parrot grades, while still offering an economical solution for bulk applications.

These seeds are typically 2.5 mm to 3.8 mm in diameter, slightly smaller and lighter than bold varieties, yet highly aromatic and rich in linalool-based volatile oils. Their small size and split-prone structure make them ideal for roasting, powdering, or fermentation blending, especially in spice-heavy cuisines like Indian, Middle Eastern, and African food systems.

Unlike sortexed coriander, Double Parrot Small does not undergo optical or color sorting, but it does offer a superior level of cleaning over single-sieve grades. This makes it perfect for brands that don’t require polished seeds but still want to avoid dust, husk, and broken fragments in their raw materials.

This grade is commonly supplied to regional masala producers, whole spice wholesalers, contract packers, and food service companies. Its excellent oil yield makes it ideal for coriander powder that retains strong flavor even after grinding or cooking.
