Psyllium Husk (50%)

Psyllium Husk (50%) is the most economical and least refined grade of fiber obtained from the outer layers of Plantago ovata seeds. With a purity of around 50%, this industrial-grade material contains a significant amount of plant residue, seed fragments, stem particles, and minimal mucilage. It is strictly intended for non-edible, industrial, and agricultural applications where fiber bulk is required at the lowest cost.

Though it lacks the swelling capacity and visual purity of higher-grade Psyllium (such as 85% to 99%), Psyllium Husk (50%) still provides essential fibrous structure and mild binding capacity. It is widely used in large-scale animal feed production, natural soil conditioning, organic composting, seed coating, and herbal base material blending. It also functions well as a non-active filler or binder in the production of pellets, tablets, and agricultural supplements.

Because this grade contains more dust, woody husk particles, and naturally occurring contaminants, it is not suitable for human consumption or pharmaceutical uses. However, it plays a critical role in cost-driven applications where the visual or chemical profile is secondary to function and volume.

Psyllium Husk (50%) is processed using basic industrial cleaning and sieving techniques, ensuring the removal of large foreign particles while retaining most of the husk material. It is ideal for companies requiring high-volume fiber input at the lowest price per kilogram.
