Psyllium Husk (70%)

Psyllium Husk (70%) is a low-purity, industrial-grade natural fiber derived from the outer husk of Plantago ovata seeds. With a fiber purity of approximately 70%, this grade is specifically suited for non-food applications such as animal nutrition, organic farming, and industrial processing where functionality is required at the lowest cost.

This form of Psyllium retains basic water-absorbing and swelling characteristics due to its mucilage content. It is widely used in the production of animal feed to enhance gut health and stool formation in livestock and pets. In agriculture, it functions as a soil conditioner and moisture retention agent in seed coatings and organic compost. Psyllium Husk (70%) is also used in the manufacturing of natural binders for herbal tablets or pellets, thanks to its fiber-binding capacity.

Visually, this grade may contain a higher percentage of plant fragments, seed coat dust, and impurities, and thus, is not recommended for pharmaceutical or food applications. However, it remains a cost-effective and functional raw material where food-grade certification is not a necessity.

Processed in a controlled industrial environment, Psyllium Husk (70%) undergoes primary cleaning and sieving steps to remove large impurities, while maintaining its core fiber properties. It is especially favored in regions and industries where volume and affordability matter more than visual refinement or maximum swelling capacity.
